Undergraduate Researcher​

 

Hi my name is Kylie! I grew up in Fresno, and I’m currently majoring in NPB. I have always aspired to be an OBGYN and I plan to pursue this with a MD-PhD. Einstein once said “The only source of knowledge is experience” and this is where my passion falls into place. With many disadvantaged communities, I hope to bridge the gap between culture and medicine. Research on experiences of such communities not only contribute to our understanding of obstacles, but cater to a future more inclusive and culturally competent. And it is true, our experiences shape what we know, so through knowledge and education I hope to explore ways we can attack obstacles in healthcare faced uniquely through identity. Outside of academics, I enjoy DIY projects and art!
