I am currently an undergraduate at the University of California, studying Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior in aspirations of becoming a gynecologist in the future! When I’m not studying, I enjoy working as an Executive Assistant for the American Academy of Pediatrics, volunteering in the Vaccine Clinic at Shifa Community Clinic, tutoring immigrant children at my local mosque, and mentoring young Muslim women interested in pursuing medicine.

 

I am interested in participating in biology education research because I truly feel that it presents solutions to the disparities currently present in education. In the past, I have gotten to work with historically marginalized groups in my community, and am eager to use my experiences in working towards establishing social justice in education. I am excited to work with my fellow team members in the Tripp Lab towards conducting research that can guide us towards making solutions to promote equity in education.
